THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE CAPE TOWN BRANCH OF THE CLASSICAL ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA, 1927-1940
Abstract
This article surveys the contents of archival material found in themanuscript and archives section of the Special Collections of theUniversity of Cape Town Libraries. In particular, it scrutinises theactivities recorded in the Minute Book of the Cape Town Branch ofthe Classical Association of South Africa, 1927-1940. The detailsfound in the Minute Book shed valuable light on the teaching andresearch of classical antiquity in South Africa in the early part of thetwentieth century, illuminating a lesser-known period of the historyof the Classical Association of South Africa.Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
